Family-led. Community-focused.

Ajmal Zadran
Born on June 14, 1979, in Kabul, Afghanistan, comes from a prominent political and tribal family. He began his early education in Kabul but was forced to flee with his family to Pashtunistan (Pakhtunkhwa) in 1992 due to the Afghan civil war. He graduated from Wisdom House High School in Abbottabad, Pashtunistan, in 1999. Motivated by a strong sense of patriotism, he began his journey as a civic activist in 2000 and quickly rose to become President of the Awami National Party (ANP) in Pashtunistan. Alongside his political leadership, he was deeply involved in social work, advocating for Afghan refugees and marginalized communities. In 2002, he joined the Human Rights Commission of Pashtunistan, furthering his commitment to justice and civil rights. In 2005, he returned to Kabul to serve as an interpreter for the U.S. military, and by 2009, he had become a Senior Cultural Advisor with the U.S. Marines. After relocating to the United States in 2016, he pursued ESL studies at Sierra College in Rocklin, California, where he was elected President of the SALAAM Club in 2021—an organization dedicated to assisting refugees. He graduated with a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences in 2022 and was appointed President of the Pakhtun Protection Movement of California on September 2, 2024. A dedicated civic activist, social worker, politician, and human rights advocate, Ajmal Zadran has worked tirelessly in war zones, disaster areas, and among internally displaced populations (IDPs), with a lifelong mission to promote peace through political engagement and to stand against injustice and oppression.
